William Wordsworth: As the Poet of Man

" There have been better poets than Wordsworth although none more original”, says A. C. Bradley. Wordsworth's chief creativity is, of course , to be sought in his poetry of Nature. It must certainly not be expected, however , that Wordsworth was interested simply in Nature and not in man in any way. Man, in Wordsworth's concep­tion, is not to be seen in addition to Nature, yet is the incredibly " lifestyle of her life”. Indeed, Wordsworth's love of Nature led him to the like of gentleman. Scarcely a poem of his is solely focused on nature-description. His poetry can be expressive with the formative, restorative, reassuring, moral and spiritual influence of Nature within the mind and personality of Man. Characteristics, of course , may dominate, nevertheless " the still miserable music of humanity” will certainly not be ignored.

Wordsworth's passion intended for Nature is usually well-known in fact it is also known that his frame of mind to Nature underwent a progressive evolution— from ‘the coarser pleasures' of the childish days to an unreflecting interest untouched by intellec­tual hobbies or associations to the transitory stage of human-heartedness ac­companied by a long-term and more significant stage of spiritual and mystical meaning of Character. Nature, in accordance to Wordsworth is a living entity. As opposed to other poets of Characteristics, he is convinced that Characteristics is endowed with existence and awareness and has got the capacity of thinking, sense and willing. The whole Nature is permeated by the feelings of joy and happiness, tranquility and tranquility and there are no strifes, not any cares and worries, simply no jealousy and hatred to disturb the peace and harmony, famous in the cardiovascular system of Nature: Love, right now a widespread birth,
